Bridget Bean is an accomplished federal senior executive with three and a half decades of leadership across mission-critical national security, emergency management, cybersecurity, continuity, and enterprise operations. As Executive Director and Acting Director of CISA, she led the nation's cybersecurity agency through a presidential transition, sustained operational delivery under intense public scrutiny, and served as National Coordinator for Infrastructure Security across a $3 billion enterprise of 3,500 employees.
Her prior senior roles include presidential appointments at FEMA, where she served as Assistant Administrator for the Grants Program Directorate and Acting Deputy Administrator for Resilience, integrating cybersecurity preparedness with continuity and hazard response across a $500M, 1,600-person portfolio.
She held seven additional SES positions over twenty-one years at the U.S. Small Business Administration, culminating as Deputy Chief Operating Officer.
Today, as CEO of Via Stella, Bridget advises policy organizations, private-sector clients, and industry partners on homeland and national security strategy, cybersecurity governance, and operational resilience. She is a recognized expert and frequent television commentator on cybersecurity, immigration, critical infrastructure, and global conflict, and she serves as a Visiting Fellow with The Heritage Foundation.
